This balloon has been caught in a tree outside Central station Devonshire St exit for the last two weeks. It’s the only blue in the sky lately.
Summer Watching
Day started with a gorgeous, crisp, blue- sky summer morning, and ended watching the light bleed from the sky over the harbour, magical tunes drifting across the water as it lit up with pearly sunset tones, a certain quiet accompanying the candles glowing in the window of fun nighttime gig #2.
Taxi filled streets and high pressured pavement cleaner hoses accompany me on the way home. And, strangely for a Tuesday eve, many girls dressed to the 9’s, strolling and stopping off at Maccas. Uni holidays? Holidays? Did I do this? When did I stop? Many questions to ponder.
Hyde Park greets me with cool undertones, as luminescent green as ever. The Barracks pounding with Sydney Festival goodness, sparkly stars and squabbling flying foxes overhead.

Walking home in the weather. The rain just heavy enough to be felt, more like a thick mist, water droplets gathering on leaves and glistening on the grass, the whole of Hyde Park illuminated dark green and surreal in the lamp light.
